Search And Rescue
49 North Helicopters plays a vital role in supporting search and rescue operations across Vancouver Island, the Coast Mountain Range, and the Central Cariboo region. We provide rapid-response aviation services that enable rescue teams to reach those in need.
Our pilots are highly experienced in complex environments, with extensive training in long-line operations, confined-area landings, and adverse weather flying. With a core focus on advanced Human External Cargo (HEC) operations, we deliver rapid aerial access which enables rescue personnel to reach and extract patients from terrain that would otherwise be inaccessible.
Working alongside dedicated search and rescue agencies, we deliver critical aerial support for evacuations, extractions, reconnaissance, and equipment deployment.
